Named Vetrarhiminn, the Icelandic word for “winter sky,” this blanket captures the beauty of Iceland’s cold season with a delicate palette of aqua, light blue, lilac, pale pink, yellow and white. Its colors reflect the shifting light and subtle hues of frosty days and vivid winter mornings.
Woven from Icelandic wool and brushed after weaving for softness, Vetrarhiminn is durable, lightweight, breathable, and warm — perfect for brightening the interior or wrapping up on chilly days.
Designed by Védís Jónsdóttir. Vetrarhiminn is one of her signature blankets that resemble a painting. The colors are lighter on the back side and the blanket is finish with fringed edges.
